Yellow-blue party in Women’s final – 13th title for Swedish Women

Reigning champion has retained the throne. Women’s World Championship final was Swedish party on ice, which ended in final score 9-1 for Sweden.
Sweden got off a flying start, when Edit Ljung scored from Moa Friman’s assist. Swedes scored two more in the first half, goals were contributed by Tilda Ström and Ella Oskarsson.


Swedes continued strong performance after halftime, Tuva Grönoset, Ljung and Ella Oskarsson put the ball past Norwegian goalkeeper Selim Klem.
Final ten minutes added three more goals for Sweden. Ström perfected her hat trick and Sanna Gustafsson netted the ball once.
Sweden has won Women’s world championship 13 times since the inauguration of the tournament in 2004.
