Sweden took home double. Celebrations of Women’s championship were barely over, when men took the ice. Swedish side outclassed the hosts Finland with stunning numbers 9-1.
Swedes exhibited balanced and efficient bandy. First goal was scored by Christoffer Edlund after Finns fumbled the ball on the midfield. Second goal followed from penalty stroke, again scored by Edlund. Half time score 3-0 for Swedes was netted by Pontus Vilen.
One key point of the match was Ville Hämäläinen’s red card. Hämäläinen tackled Swedish Martin Landström to the head and was sent off. Landström was thankfully able to return to play later.

Edlund perfected hat trick and Alexander Härndahl directed ball past Finnish Jussi Aaltonen from mid-air. Edlund scored two more goals, Vilen netted his second and Albin Airisniemi contributed once to finish off the game.
Only Finnish goal, 1-7, was scored from penalty stroke by Niklas Holopainen.
