The event was attended by Adam Attilafi, Secretary General of the Federation of International Bandy (FIB), and Antti Parviainen, Chairman of the Finnish Bandy Association, who officially sealed the agreement.

The agreement strengthens Pori’s position as the host city of the upcoming World Championships and kicks off preparations for a major sporting event that will bring together ice hockey players, fans and volunteers from around the world.

During the event, the city of Pori also received a special recognition when it received a medal in honor of the 70-year history of the International Ice Hockey Federation. The award was presented as a thank you for the cooperation and commitment to the development of the sport.
